Quotations. The Achilles Heel of Evolutionism. For it is in quotations that we see what real scientists think about the issue of Origins, unfiltered by the "selective forces" of the Darwinian spin machine. It is also in these nuggets of thought that the villainous expose their villainy and let slip the Truths that they want hidden: that Evolutionism is a theory in crisis and that Design Theory is everyday pointing more and more toward Creation.

The average Christian may not have access to the research labs of Fellowship University and the Discovery Institute or the technical knowledge of theobiology and information theory with which to conduct primary research into the designedness of Creation, but he can, in his own way, help defeat Darwinism through quotation.

So, take these quotes and make sure no man, woman, or child is left unaware of them!

Doubt From On High:

A little known secret among the Secularized masses and mindless Darwinbots is that the leaders of Evolutionism don't really believe in it. If you want to stop a Darwinist cold in his tracks, simply pull out a quote from one of the High Priests of Darwinianism expressing doubt in their unsupportable Faith. But be gentle; cognitive dissonance can kill!

Charles Darwin, the founding prophet of Darwinism himself, could not fathom how his monstrous theory could explain the Human Eye. As he confesses in The Origin of Species:

"To suppose that the eye with all its inimitable contrivances for adjusting the focus to different distances, for admitting different amounts of light, and for the correction of spherical and chromatic aberration, could have been formed by natural selection, seems, I freely confess, absurd in the highest degree."

He shuddered whenever asked to explain that remarkably designed machine and became over the years increasingly defensive and given to outbursts. His every waking moment was consumed with thought of this albatross, eventually spilling over into the fitful sleep of haunted dreams. Some even believe it was the dread chill of the Unevolvable Eye that led him to frequent Chinese opium dens1 in the Limehouse district of London. In a letter to a friend shortly before his death, he relates his deteriorating mental state:

"The blasted eye ... [it] will give me no peace! Why won't you evolve? I have tried in vain to find in it some sort of concinnity with my work but I fear that my sanity is slowly being drained by this irresolvable puzzle ... I am shamed to confess that I haven't the patience of Job. Could it be that I was wrong about everything? Could it be I am being tested? No! I will not allow that! Surely, it must evolve."

Dr. Stephen J. Gould, a paleontologist respected amongst Evolutionists prior to his deathbed conversion to Christianity, let slip a similar opinion once during a non-public meeting of his peers:

"Evolution is clearly an absurd idea; The proposition that all the complexities of life just happened ... due to random, contingent actions of the material world is unsupportable. [Extended baseball analogy to illustrate previous point.] However, we must believe in evolution because the alternative is unthinkable."

Ernst Mayr, one of the leading Darwinists of the 20th century, once wrote of his doubts about the Darwinian doctrine of "macroevolution" -- the idea that one kind of creature can transmutate into another kind:

"The Species Barrier ... is the most confounding problem for the Darwinian program. ... The more I think of that gaping chasm between the species, the more I doubt that they were not created separately. But according to Darwin this cannot be! So I must find a way to make this problem go away."

Daniel Dennett, an influential Materialist specializing in Darwinian philosophy, wrote the book Darwin's Dangerous Idea, in which he argued that the role of Darwinism as a destroyer of traditional values will continue to increase unless stopped. In that book he wrote:

"The true danger in Darwin's idea is that our enemies may discover the weaknesses in the theory ... and exploit them to undermine our real goal: etching our will onto history with the Universal Acid of Darwinism."

The Experts Speak:

Do all experts agree that Evolutionism is fact? Hardly! Here are a very few examples -- culled from a much, much larger number -- of noted scientists who question Evolutionism:

Sir William Thomson, also known as Lord Kelvin and one of the most respected scientists of the 19th century and co-discoverer of the Second Law of Thermodynamics once said:

"Overwhelmingly strong proofs of intelligent and benevolent design lie all around us, and if ever perplexities, whether metaphysical or scientific, turn us away from them for a time, they come back upon us with irresistible force, showing to us through nature the influence of a free will, and teaching us that all living beings depend on one ever-acting Creator and Ruler."

Dr. William Dembski -- who has been called the Isaac Newton of Information Theory due to his groundbreaking work on developing a mathematical model that is used in labs all over the world to show designedness in organisms and who discovered the Fourth Law of Thermodynamics, the Law of Conservation of Information -- said in his book Intelligent Design: The Bridge Between Science & Theology:

"If we take seriously the word-flesh Christology of Chalcedon (i.e. the doctrine that Christ is fully human and fully divine) and view Christ as the telos toward which God is drawing the whole of creation, then any view of the sciences that leaves Christ out of the picture must be seen as fundamentally deficient."

Or as he noted in the July/August, 1999 issue of Touchstone Magazine:

"Intelligent design readily embraces the sacramental nature of physical reality. Indeed, intelligent design is just the Logos theology of John's Gospel restated in the idiom of information theory."

Dr. Michael Behe, a world-renowned biochemist, has devised a trap that exposes the falsehood of evolutionism. He has identified the existence of irreducibly complex (IC) systems in living organisms that could not have evolved in principle. Just as a mousetrap would cease to function if any of its parts were removed, these IC systems would fail if any of their parts were removed. What good would half of one of these systems be? Clearly they had to be created in whole through Intelligent Design, not built up over time by the addition of parts through a non-intelligent process.

And who is this Intelligent Designer? For that answer we must look to the only eyewitness report given of the time of creation, namely the book of Genesis: It clearly says God did it.

Nobel Laureates Who Doubt Darwin

Evolutionists try to claim that only fools doubt Evolutionism. But are Nobel Prizes given for foolishness? The following quotations are from Nobel Laureates who dare question the dogma of Evolutionism (presented in easy to copy and paste format for your convenience):

"I would rather believe in fairy tales than in such wild speculation. I have said for years that speculations about the origin of life lead to no useful purpose as even the simplest living system is far too complex to be understood in terms of the extremely primitive chemistry scientists have used in their attempts to explain the unexplainable. God cannot be explained away by such naive thoughts." (Sir Ernst B. Chain, Medicine, 1945)

"When confronted with the marvels of life and the universe, one must ask why and not just how. The only possible answers are religious. For me that means Protestant Christianity, to which I was introduced as a child and which has withstood the tests of a lifetime. But religion is a great backyard for doing science. In the words of Psalm 19, "The heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament showeth His handiwork." Thus scientific research is a worshipful act in that it reveals the wonders of God's creation." (Arthur L. Schawlow, Physics, 1981)

"Upon splitting the atom, I made a startling realization: while atomic nuclei could be transmutated into different elements, their constituent parts remained as they were at the moment of Creation. The idea then current among biologists that random mutations could produce truly novel structures became to me the most absurd thing. It was at that moment that I understood that I was Born Again." (Sir John Cockcroft, Physics, 1951)

"To postulate that the development and survival of the fittest is entirely a consequence of chance mutations seems to me a hypothesis based on no evidence and irreconcilable with the facts. These classical evolutionary theories are a gross over-simplification of an immensely complex and intricate mass of facts, and it amazes me that they are swallowed so uncritically and readily, and for such a long time, by so many scientists without a murmur of protest." (Sir Ernst B. Chain, Medicine, 1945)

"To improve a living organism by random mutation is like saying you could improve a Swiss watch by dropping it and bending one of its wheels or axis. Improving life by random mutations has the probability of zero." (Albert Szent-Gyorgi, Medicine, 1937)

"It is not difficult for me to have this faith, for it is incontrovertible that where there is a plan there is intelligence - an orderly, unfolding universe testifies to the truth of the most majestic statement ever uttered - 'In the beginning, God.'" (Dr. Arthur H. Compton, Physics, 1927)

Footnotes:

  1. « In turning to the poppy in his time of distress, he may have been following a family tradition. It is well known that Darwin's grandfather, Dr. Erasmus Darwin, was a prolific prescriber of opium to his patients (many think it was he who got Coleridge hooked.) Charles' grandmother, Mary, and maternal uncle, Thomas Wedgewood, were both opium eaters who died from overdoses. His brother was an opium runner. We also see that his grandfather was the source of Charles' Evolutionistic ideas in Erasmus' 1802 poem, The Temple of Nature:
    Organic life beneath the shoreless waves
    Was born and nurs'd in ocean's pearly caves;
    First forms minute, unseen by spheric glass,
    Move on the mud, or pierce the watery mass;
    These, as successive generations bloom,
    New powers acquire and larger limbs assume;
    Whence countless groups of vegetation spring
    And breathing realms of fin and feet and wing.

    Clearly, Evolutionism is rooted in opium-induced insanity.
